Accepted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance!
Use this page as a checklist to guide you through your next steps as an accepted student. Accepted transfer students can find information regarding transfer credit evaulations here.

Complete and submit the enrollment confirmation card

Please refer to your acceptance letter for your deposit deadline and return the enrollment confirmation card with your deposit. Make an online deposit by using FACTs secure website.

Note: You will not be charged the $1 enrollment fee referenced on the website. 


Apply for financial aid and research scholarships 

Available on January 1, submit your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at SUNY Poly's federal code is: 011678, NYS Tap Code is: 4975. 

SUNY Poly offers scholarships primarily for academic merit, however, some awards are needs based and determined by factors including, student’s hometown, intended degree program, extracurricular activities, and supplemental information. For additional information go to the Financial Aid/Scholarship page.


Accepted Student Day for freshmen 

Join other accepted students for our Accepted Student Day on Friday, March 20. Meet current students, talk to faculty, learn about campus life and more. You will be mailed and e-mailed an invitation in February. Register


Submit SUNY Polytechnic Institute Residency Application

Beginning May 15 and after you have received your Enrollment Packet, a link to our housing application and license will be sent to your official college e-mail. (Instructions on how to access your e-mail account are provided in the Enrollment Packet.)


Submit AP & College Credit Evaluation

Please submit the incoming credit form for consideration of AP and college course credit. The form is available at

Attend New Student Orientation

New, accepted students are required to attend Orientation. Orientation information will be included in the Enrollment Packet and will be available at

CNSE will host New Student Orientation in late August just prior to the start of classes in Albany. Students will be contacted directly with details.


Submit final documentation
Request that your guidance office or college Registrar submit your final transcript(s) with proof of your graduation (entering freshmen: typically available from your high school in early July). If you are receiving AP credit, you will need to request an official transcript from College Board.

All entering students are required to submit proof of high school graduation or a general equivalency diploma (GED). Transfer students who have earned an A.A., A.A.S., or A.S. degree prior to enrolling can satisfy this requirement with their official degree-bearing college transcript.

Mandatory health requirements
Complete and return the Health & Wellness forms provided to you in your Enrollment Packet to the Health and Wellness Center prior to the start of the semester.
