Wastewater utilities are responsible for maintenance and ensuring that their system is functioning properly regardless of the age and funding available.  A proper asset management that includes long-range planning, life-cycle costing, proactive operations and maintenance, and capital replacement plans will better prepare utilities.  The EPA as a part of thier sustainable infrastructure initiative is offering sessions  and siscussions on the advanced asset management.
