Marine Facing Discharge after Disparaging the President on Facebook
I'm not familiar with the rules and regulations that Marine Corps Sergeants are required to adhere to regarding social media. With that being said, as much as I can't stand Obama and his administration, being the Commander in Chief of this country he is due a certain degree of respect by all people living in under his authority, especially members of the armed services. From what I understand about the military, respect is a big deal whether it be towards a peer or a superior. This sergeant deliberately undermined the authority of the Commander in Chief and regardless of whether or not his criticism was justified it should not have been voiced while this sergeant was still in authority over others who were ultimately under the authority of the man he was criticizing. He got what he deserved.
