What's the world coming too?

Earlier this morning a man was ran over and killed by a subway train.  The big question is why was the man on the tracks?  The answer is, he was pushed.  Although the big kicker is that not one person who was present tried to help the man off the tracks, they only took pictures.  This is amazing to me that there was a number of people on that platform and not one had the drive to save this man.  What kind of world do we live in where so many people can can stand by and watch a man try to climb of the way of a moving subway and not reach an arm out to try and pull him out.  It doesnt seem very moral to stand by and watch someone get run over by a subway train and not help.  It's absolutely crazy.
