The academic programs offered by the School of Arts & Sciences affect every student at SUNYIT. Through the School of Arts & Sciences, students build a strong foundation in liberal arts and learn how to use that foundation to construct a base of thought and reasoning, enabling them to relate their studies and experiences to the world around them. The School of Arts & Sciences also plays an integral part in preparing SUNYIT students for graduate studies in professional areas such as social work, counseling and law. The School of Arts & Sciences is home to six major undergraduate degree programs: Two master's degree programs are also available: Students selecting these majors enjoy small classes and individual attention from professors. In addition, the school offers nine undergraduate minors.
