The SUNY Tech Gamers Club is a long-standing and highly regarded club at SUNYIT. We are for the love of all games, whether they be on console, PC, or otherwise. Every semester we hold a large LAN party called FragFest. In the past we have had 100 people attend what is potentially the largest LAN in CNY. We hold fundraisers outside of this event, including selling club T-Shirts and high caffiene energy drinks from one of our sponsors.
On a weekly basis our members get organized and play on our dedicated server. Some of the games we play on the server are COD, CS:S, and TF2. We also organize many activities outside the server before and after meetings, including Diablo 2 game nights and Starcraft matches.
Our students come from all walks of life (including those who don't walk at all!). There are grad students, there are freshman, there are men, and there are women (no lies!). Because when you sit behind that monitor, when you pick up that controller, we don't care what you are - we only care that we can call you a n00b and tell you GG by the end of it.
